First blog of the year

*Gasp*! This is the first blog I've posted on this since I set this up a couple months ago. HAR HAR... Shows how great I am at keeping this updated.

My HOPE and GOAL is to start posting on this at least once a month so you guys can see how EXCITING my life is and this gives me another way to brag more about my 6 clever and adorable furbabies. ;) *If my family sees this, they'll groan and roll their eyes at this.* WINK!

What can I say? I have made some HUGE changes in my life. Left my job of 10 years in DC for a brand new job in a DIFFERENT field in Utah so that meant I had to pack everything up (including my beloved 6 cats) and move to Utah. It was a very INTERESTING move but obviously we all survived! The new job is very challenging but enjoyable (most of the time).... I've gotten to be closer to my family which contains 2 great parents, sister/hubby with 4 kids (two already married, have one great nephew named Mac and another baby on the way!) and a brother/wife with 3 kids who are currently learning sign language to communicate with me. It has saddened me to see how much I've missed out on my nephews and nieces in the last 10 years I've lived in DC. My hope is now that I will get to know them better and hopefully get close to them. I also have gotten to renew some OLD friendships and make some new friends.

I lived in this cute little rented 3 bedroom house for about 7 months and has had the opportunity to chase 3 stubborn pygmy goats since they kept escaping from their pastures at least 5 times (GRRR), got to pet 2 pigs (ewww- fur felt like BRISTLES!!) and pet some adorable and friendly horses in pastures adjoining my front and back yards. I'll post pictures of this little home and the animals neighbors soon. ;)

At this time, I wanted to give my thanks for the following things-

The gospel of Jesus Christ
Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints
My great family
My Furbabies- Zebra, Buddy, Spike, Tango, Pepper and Heidi!
My great friends (you know who you are!)
My health- it has been pretty good! *knocking on wood*
For living in this great country

This is it for now..... May add more later on. ;)
